The NLTS Library

New Life Theological Seminary is building a world-class theological library to train individuals for 21st century ministry. Built in 1962 as the sanctuary of Whiting Avenue Baptist Church and re-purposed in 2007 as a library for New Life Theological Seminary, the building has rich legacy of equipping men and women for Kingdom service. Since the Seminary’s inception, the library has evolved from a Sunday school classroom with a handful of books to an exceptional theological library. The Library now houses 23,500 print volumes, biblical research software, 60 periodicals and magazines, and maintains a subscription to the ATLA database. We look forward to growing and evolving to meet the needs of current and future leaders of the church.

The Library Manual states the mission, services, and policies of the Library. Students and others who use the Library should consult the handbook to become acquainted with library services and policies. NLTS students may also check out materials from other seminary libraries in the Charlotte region at no cost. New Life is a member of the Carolinas Theological Library Consortium (CTLC), which makes lending privileges at other theological libraries possible.

NLTS Library primarily serves students, faculty, and staff of the Seminary. Local pastors and missionaries may also access Library materials for a nominal fee. If you are a local pastor/missionary interested in obtaining library privileges, please contact Bob McInnes, Head Librarian, at 704-334-6882, ext 111.
